Principal Welcome

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are looking forward to the upcoming school year!  

• School Hours: Sweeny Elementary doors open at 7:30 AM, and class begins promptly at 8:05 AM. Please note that staff will not be available until the school doors open at 7:30 AM. Dismissal is at 3:40 pm.
• Meals: All students at Sweeny Elementary will receive free meals this year. If your child would like to have breakfast at school, please drop them off by 7:50 AM to allow enough time for them to eat and be ready for class.
• Lunch Visits: Parents are welcome to join their students for lunch. Please remember that you may only bring lunch for your own child, and parents can only sit with their students on the stage.
• Car-Rider Line: To keep our car-rider lines moving efficiently and ensure student safety, Sweeny Elementary staff will not remove students from vehicles. Our staff will open the car door for students to exit, but if your child requires assistance getting out, please park in a designated unloading zone or parking space.
